ULLAGE · DISK SPACE MISSION CONTROL
In short
Ullage does not collect, transmit or share any personal information. It has no accounts of its own, no analytics and no advertising. It makes no network connections of its own. Your files and folder names never leave your Mac.
What it reads
Only the drives and folders you choose. Ullage reads file and folder names, sizes, dates and types to show where your disk space went. If you run the duplicate finder it also reads the contents of files of the same size to compare them; the comparison happens in memory and nothing is kept. All of this stays on your Mac.
What it keeps on your Mac
Your settings; the drives and folders you have allowed, so you are not asked again (you can remove any of them in Settings, under Permissions); and, for the Changes tab, a list of folder names and sizes from each scan, with no file names (you can clear it in Settings, under Scanning).
This data lives inside the app’s own container on your Mac. Deleting the app and its container removes it.
Your purchase
Ullage is a one-time purchase from the Mac App Store. Apple handles the purchase, the payment and your Apple ID; Ullage never sees your name, email address or payment details.
Apple may give the developer sales reports in aggregate form, which do not identify you. Ullage itself sends the developer nothing.
Removing files
Ullage moves items to the Trash, or deletes them, only after you confirm. It never changes or deletes anything on its own.
Sharing
Ullage contains no third-party code that collects data, and it shares nothing with anyone.
Children
Ullage is a general utility. It collects no information from anyone, including children.
